Job Summary:
The Wine Sales Representative will oversee the company’s wine sales activities within a defined territory.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Showcase and sell our curated wine portfolio to high-end restaurants, upscale bars, boutique hotels, and chef-driven establishments.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients—monitor inventory, process orders seamlessly, and ensure excellent service.
- Identify and win new accounts, with a focus on elevating wine lists at upscale venues.
- Work toward increasing sales growth in the territory at an established rate determined by Wine Sales Manager.
- Stay up to date on market trends and competitor activity; share insights with the team.
- Attend tastings, dinners, and trade events.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly regarding sales & service.
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Proven wine sales experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of varietals, regions, and production methods. Professional certifications (e.g. WSET, sommelier training) are a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills—comfortable engaging sommeliers, chefs, and beverage directors.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to carry wine cases and promotional materials throughout the duration of the shift.
- Valid driver's license and no major driving violations.
