Warehouse Associate

Watkins Distributing is a family-owned and operated beverage distribution company that has proudly served Idaho and Montana for four generations.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate is a member of the warehouse picking and loading team, responsible for stocking pallets and preparing beverage orders for distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately select customer orders using scanners, voice-directed systems, or other warehouse technology.
• Verify product type, package size, quantities, and order accuracy using handheld devices and company systems.
• Build and stock pallets with beverage products according to assigned order tickets and loading requirements.
• Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to transport inventory and completed orders.
• Properly shrink-wrap, label, and prepare products for shipment.
• Load delivery vehicles with outbound orders and unload incoming trucks, empty pallets, and keg returns.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization, including aisles, storage locations, pallets, and work areas.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and support facility security standards.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Previous experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow order selection instructions.
• Ability to work safely, efficiently, and consistently in a warehouse environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to regularly lift and move beverage cases weighing 20–45 lbs. Duties require frequent bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Work may be performed in multiple warehouse temperature environments, including dry, cool, and refrigerated areas.
