Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the following.The pay for this position depends on experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Occasionally facilitate with bill backs.
- Work directly with internal supervisors and external vendors to ensure timely payment of all bills.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years’ experience working in accounts payable
- Experience working with matching invoices to purchase orders, preferably via automated software programs.
- Experience working with financial ERP systems, Netsuite experience is preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including reformatting worksheets and utilizing formulas.
- 1099 experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
